My name is Fern Tallos. I was raised in Washington state in the beautiful Skagit Valley. I am a self-taught artist and craftsperson and currently live in Olympia, WA. I paint in acrylics on a variety of surfaces including murals and canvas. My background in herbalism and gardening deeply impacts my work and I find the shapes and colors of the natural world to be endlessly inspiring. I am compelled to paint daily by an unknown force that has been with me since I was a small child. I draw from the concept that when you heal yourself you are in fact healing the world and I believe in creative expression as a healing force.

While murals are my favorite canvas, I also paint on furniture, lamps, wooden things of all type, canvas, and paper.
